HELLO

My name is Derek. I am a Freelance Photographer based out of Pomeroy, Iowa. Four years ago I graduated from The Art Institute of Colorado with a degree in Photography. Previous to attending The Art Institute I graduated from ILCC with degrees in both Web Design and Photography. I started photographing professionally in 2007 while still in college. My training and experience has taught me the skills to photograph virtually any type of subject; from Weddings, to Portraits, Photojournalism, Architecture, Landscape, and Products.

My photos have been published in National Hog Farmer Magazine, Aussie Times Magazine, and The Prairie Smoke. My photos have also been displayed at The Lakes Art Center, The Fonda Art Center, The Art Institute Portfolio Review, The Iowa State Fair, and The Coffee Bean.
